# Week 1: Software and Setup

This week we are going to set up the folder structure on our local machines and start to work with a software program called GIT. 



By the end of this week you'll have

* Set up the folder structure for this course
* Created a local git repository and added files to it
* Branched off that repo and then merged back into it
* Created an account on Github.com
* Installed CommandBox
* Installed a package with the course files in it from a package manager
* Set up VSCode (or other IDE)
* Completed the journal in Blackboard for this class.
